Managing Locations (Mobile)

Locations are exactly what they sound like. They can be vaults, pods, trucks, cleaning facilities, and so on. As your boxes move throughout the world, you can log their location in Encircle, allowing your team to keep track of items.

Scan-to-Track with QR Codes

QR labels allow you to easily and quickly scan boxes into locations. Follow these steps to scan boxes:

1. Tap the 3 bars at the top right.
2. Select Locations.

3. Open the location where you wish to add the boxes. If you haven't created a location yet, tap the plus button to create one.

   

4. Enter a name for your location.
5. Tap Scan in Boxes.
6. Point your camera at the QR labels to scan boxes in to that location.

7. Tap Done. 

   

8. If you need to scan in additional boxes later on, open the location.
9. Tap the scan button.
10. Scan in the additional boxes.

11. Tap Done. 

    

Moving Boxes Manually

If your team is not using QR labels, or if you're using a mix of QR labels and manual box labels, you can manually move boxes into locations.

To move boxes into a location:

1. Tap the 3 Bars at the top right.
2. Select Locations.
3. Open the location where you wish to add the boxes. If you haven't created a location yet, tap the plus button to create one.
4. Enter a name for your location.
5. Tap Create Only.
6. Tap Bulk Actions.
7. Select Move Boxes Here.
8. Select the location where you wish to move the boxes from; either an existing location where they were previously assigned, or No Location if this is the first time you're moving them.

9. Select the boxes you wish to move, and tap Move Boxes. 

   

To move boxes out of a location:

1. Open the location and tap Bulk Actions.
2. Select Move all to Other Location.

3. Select the location where you want to move them, or select Create New Location if needed. 

   

4. All boxes will be transferred to their new location.
