Everything you wanted to know about Encircle Link
Encircle Link has gone through several iterations and can be somewhat confusing at times to know the difference.
Here are the basics about Link
Sending Policyholder Link from Web or Mobile
You can send a Link from the overview section of the claim to have the policyholder take photos, videos, and sign documents from their mobile device without an app. Typically shared through a text message or email.
The media will appear in a dedicated folder called "Policyholder Photos and Videos" and you will be notified during these events.
Sending Link from the Overview Section
This Link was the original Link but does not get tracked and therefore does not send any notifications about events. Also, you need to specify where the images are to be downloaded during setup. This Link is useful for getting sub-trades to send you images of their work - without the need for them to have access to your Encircle account.
Note: With "Link”, the recipient only has access to the documents you explicitly add to the link and can only see the overview photos and videos in the room that was explicitly shared with them.
What is Sharing the Claim all about?
You share a claim with a team member or another trusted organization such that they will complete access to your claim file to read and edit as needed.
There is no cost to an organization to share the file - except when it is with an outside organization and there is media in the file. At that time the file will be considered utilized. The outside organization may incur a file usage fee upon accepting the shared file.
Does it Cost Anything to Use Link?
There is no cost to send or utilize the link service. However, using Link does mean that the claim is essentially "shared" and that, together when media, (pictures or video), is loaded into the claim, means the claim file counts as utilized. There is no cost to the policyholder other than any data charges they may utilize from their network carrier.
