Importing an Encircle Floor Plan into Xactimate

Once you've enabled Xactimate integration, you will be able to perform a Property Data Request from Xactimate to import an Encircle Floor Plan and then you'll convert it into a Sketch.

For the best, most accurate sketch, we recommend only importing floor plans created after September 20, 2023. Be sure to check out our FAQ for more information on pricing, properties with multiple floor plans, how to complete this process with a 3rd party estimator, and more.

Making a Data Request in Xactimate Online

1. From the Xactimate Projects list, select the project where you want to import an Encircle floor plan.
2. Click on the Data Request icon to start the Property Data Request.
3. Enter the details of the data request. 
   1. Select Encircle from the Provider dropdown.
   2. The Address should be the address on the claim.
   3. The Contact email address must be an Encircle user that is shared on job in Encircle.
   4. Enter in the Floor Plan ID from Encircle as the Claim Number.
      1. To get the Floor Plan ID, navigate to the specific Floor Plan in Encircle and copy the Floor Plan ID.
4. Click OK.

Making a Data Request in Xactimate Desktop

1. From the Xactimate Projects list, select the project where you want to import an Encircle floor plan.
2. Click on the Data Request icon to start the Property Data Request.
3. New Order will be selected by default. Click Next.
4. The Verisk login page will open up in your internet browser and you’ll be prompted to sign in.
5. On the next screen, click the Request Service dropdown and select Interior Walls.
6. On the confirmation screen, enter the following pieces of information:
   1. Enter in the Floor Plan ID from Encircle as the Claim Number.
   2. The Address should be the address on the claim.
   3. The Claim Representative email address must be an Encircle user that is shared on job in Encircle.
7. Click Submit.

Importing the Sketch into your Estimate

Once the Encircle Platform receives the request, we will process it right away (within 90 seconds to 2 minutes). Encircle will send the Sketch data to Xactimate and notify you in the Xactimate Notifications center (in the upper right hand corner). You may need to refresh the page to see the notification.

Next, follow these steps to import your sketch:

1. Open the project in Xactimate and navigate to the Sketch section of the estimate.
2. Click the Data Import icon (the yellow icon that appears in the upper left hand corner of the sketch).
3. This will open a list of all of the requested data that have been sent to this specific Xactimate File. Select the data you wish to import.
4. Click Import.
5. Xactimate will process this data and automatically generate a sketch, complete with measurements, doors, and windows. If needed, you will be able to work with the sketch as normal.
